Windermere has the lowest taxes in Orange County. That is a real benefit! Being located 14 miles southwest of Orlando with easy access to airports and major highways is extremely attractive to many residents.

Windermere is surrounded by spring-fed, sand-bottom lakes. Lake Butler is the largest to the west and Lake Down to the east with Lake Bessie to the southeast. They are joined by canals to form the Butler Chain of Lakes.
